Background
Eric Steinberg completed a master’s degree in nursing at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Mr. Steinberg is a certified adult nurse practitioner. He joined the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Clinical and Research Program at Boston University School of Medicine in February 2000.
ADC Role
Mr. Steinberg serves as the project manager for the Health Outreach Program for the Elderly (HOPE) study,
a National Institutes of Aging funded research project that evaluates older adults with and without memory problems throughout their lives. The goal of HOPE is to increase the understanding of how memory and thinking change as people age and to facilitate research related to Alzheimer’s disease. Mr. Steinberg also works as a nurse practitioner with patients and their caregivers in the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Clinical and Research Program’s memory assessment clinics.
Research Interests
Mr. Steinberg’s interests include management of behavioral symptoms related to Alzheimer’s disease, caregiver burden and motivational factors of brain donation.
