Background:
My name is Joshua Berenbaum, and I am currently the Data Analyst for the Boston University ADRC ORE Core as part of my Behavioral Neuroscience PhD training. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science from Johns Hopkins University, along with a minor in Psychology. My role involves analyzing the data we collect from community and participant surveys so that we can optimize our outreach and educational efforts, getting more people involved in dementia research and teaching them how to live healthier lives. Alzheimer’s disease can be scary for those affected and their loved ones, which is why I hope to lighten this burden through improved health education and access to those investigating the disorder.
Research Interests:
My research interests involve investigating the causes and pathologies of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, along with treatments for these disorders. Specifically, I am interested in studying how memory disorders impact consciousness and perception in those affected.
