Technical Sergeant Abioye is a Reserve Officer Training Corps Administrator for Detachment 355 at Boston University, Boston, MA. As the Non-Commision Officer in Charge of Administration, he oversees and conducts all cadet in-processing, out-processing, scholarships, commissioning, medical, and a wide range of additional Cadre functions. He works alongside Cadre staff as an additional instructor, educating cadets on cross-cultural competencies, and Sexual Assault Prevention Response. Furthermore, he provides critical mentorship to shape how our future officers embrace leadership from the backbone of our force, the Non-commissioned Officer.
TSgt Abioye enlisted in the United States Air Force in June of 2005 at Lackland AFB, TX. He graduated from Information Management Technical Training Course at Keesler AFB, Mississippi in October 2005. At his first duty assignment at Bolling AFB, DC he worked at the 11 Communication Squadron and 884th Communications group before deploying to Balad AB, Iraq. In 2016 he was stationed at U.S. Africa Command Headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. He served as the NCOIC of Personnel Security operations for all incoming AFRICOM personnel and all military members at U.S. Embassies on the African continent. While stationed in Germany, TSgt Abioye served on his second deployment to Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti.
Prior to his current position, Sgt Abioye was stationed at the 1st Flying Training Squadron in Pueblo, CO, where he deployed for the third time, to Al Udeid AB, Qatar. While at the 1st FTS he served as the NCOIC of Administration that serviced the United States Air Force Academy pilot graduates, incoming selected pilots, and combat system officers for their initial flight training.
