Featured Faculty: Dr. Ianna Hawkins Owen
Ianna Hawkins Owen is an assistant professor of English and African American Studies and is working on a first book manuscript on black diaspora theory titled Ordinary Failure. Previously a Ford fellow, a Woodrow Wilson fellow, and a UC President’s postdoc, Owen’s work has appeared in Feminist Review, Asexualities: Feminist and Queer Perspectives, Post45, Radical Teacher, Reclamations Journal, and is forthcoming in In Geveb (2021) and Social Text (2022). Owen is also a leading scholar on the study of race and asexuality.
