WINDINg ROAD
An Academic Journey

Like a lot of students interested in healthcare,
Surya Pulukuri arrived at BU focused on biology.
at a first-year orientation
about majors, he was introduced to biochemistry and said, “That’s my major!”

“I met some students from
Sargent and realized there was
a whole college dedicated to healthcare.”
So he wondered whether to jump to human physiology.
he found that much of the coursework of the two majors overlapped and decided to pursue a double major instead.
“I got the opportunity to do research on human subjects and survey them about how well they’re learning.”

“I want to be a physician but also an educator.”
BU is both flexible and interconnected; I was able to learn about myself, discover new passions, and then pursue them.

Which goes to show, at BU, you may not end up where you expect, but you’ll end up where you belong.

And with
300+ majors,
BU offers plenty of roads to get you there.
So bring your passion to BU and find your fit.
And then…
the rest is up to you!
