Students attain public health, primary care, or public health policy and administration experience through placement at one of several extramural sites. Experience may be correlated with the student's research topic. This allows the students to gain experience in one or more of the dental public health learning competencies. This satisfies the requirements for the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Dental Public Health.
