Pre-requisites: CASWR 100 or CASWR 120. - Through readings, discussions, research, and multimedia composition, this course aims to empower students to understand what is happening to us as we move rapidly through the age of GenAI, not in technological or synthetic ways, but rather in cognitive and social ones. Students will look at the long and shorter history of communication to better understand AI's impact on humanity and challenge students to think critically about how to distinguish themselves from it rhetorically and creatively by composing their own carefully crafted messages about AI. Effective Fall 2026, this course fulfills a single requirement in each of the following BU Hub areas: Creativity/Innovation, Digital/Multimedia Expression, Writing-Intensive Course.
