In this 7-week course, doctoral students are introduced to major theoretical perspectives that shape research, practice, and policy in music education. Through critical reading, discussion, and guided application, students will examine foundational philosophical, social, cultural, and educational theories that inform how problems, practices, and phenomena in music education are understood and studied.
