Supporting Students With Dis-Abilities
CFA ME 608
The purpose of this course is to provide pre-service and in-service educators with research-based strategies they can use to include all students in their music classrooms, ensembles, and private studios. Students will examine barriers to inclusion as well as current theories and pedagogies regarding disability rights and education. Topics covered will include ableism, crip theory, Universal Design for Learning, lesson planning and assessment for all learners. This course is open to all majors.
