This studio/lecture course is an elective companion to CFA AR 884 Graduate Graphic Design 2, which focuses on the graduate thesis, an individual project shaped by each student-s interests, research, and body of work. While students work individually on their thesis projects, this optional elective is for students interested shaping and steering the MFA graphic design thesis exhibition, an exhibition of their cohort's work (a 'collective thesis' project), while learning about the basic principles of exhibition identity design, the history of graphic design exhibitions, and other topics related to promotion, documentation and programming for graphic design-focused installations.
