Faculty Section Guidelines

Depending on the size of your school/college, there could be either one or two levels to your Faculty section.

Faculty Landing Page

This shows your departments listed in alphabetical order and links to new pages for each that list the corresponding department’s faculty. For information on how to structure the individual lists, please see the Faculty List section below.

Faculty List

This is a simple list of your current faculty with minimal biographic information.

What to include What NOT to include
A bulleted, comprehensive, alphabetical list of all currently associated faculty with basic biographic details, limited to degrees and awarding institutions and, optionally, a brief list of any research interests Full faculty profiles. These belong on the school/college website.
An overview of the faculty breadth and specialties to complement program and course information. Full contact list for each faculty member. This should appear on the school/college site as well.
Subsections by faculty type, if desired (particularly for those with long lists), such as Full, Joint, Adjunct, etc.
If appropriate, include a definition of faculty titles at the top of the page. For example, “The following list reflect primarily the 2011/2012 faculty. Emeritus and adjunct faculty and lecturers are part-time faculty normally employed outside the University.”
