Summer Challenge Program

As announced by the president and provost on Tuesday, April 7, Boston University has cancelled on-campus programming for Summer 2020. Summer Challenge’s residential nature and focus on hands-on, seminar based learning do not make it a feasible option for remote learning. For that reason, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel all sessions of Summer Challenge for this year. Please know that as we look forward to Summer 2021, we remain committed to supporting your educational journey.

Boston University Summer Term

  • Dates: June 21 – July 2, July 12 – 24, and July 26 – August 7, 2020
  • Grade Level: Students entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2020

Experience life on a college campus and take on new academic challenges in our residential summer program for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. During this two-week non-credit program, students participate in two seminars of their choice. In addition, daily activities on campus and throughout Boston provide an opportunity for students to build a strong social community while getting to know Boston University and the city.
