The interdepartmental graduate program in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology & Biochemistry (MCBB) offers both the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. Future molecular biomedical scientists will increasingly engage in interdisciplinary research. The MCBB Program is designed to fill this need:


The MCBB Program involves 48 faculty members from the Departments of
Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, and Health Sciences .

  • The MCBB Program Curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation in these interrelated disciplines through coursework and research.
  • The MCBB Program prepares students for research and teaching positions in academia, industry, or government.
