Note from the editors

As part of our summer schedule, BU Today is making a few small changes. We will pause our “Sunday Reads” email. And we will move our Saturday “Week in Review” email to Friday instead. As always, throughout the summer, when there is breaking news to cover, we will cover it.

2024 BU Women’s Guild Scholarships Go to 55 Grad Students

What do BU researchers, genetic counselors, philosophers, psychologists, master flutists, visual artists, mothers, and mothers-to-be have in common? They are among the 55 recipients of the 2024 BU Women’s Guild scholarships, awarded to women and those who identify as female in Boston University graduate programs, as well as to BU women writers. Since 1977, the BUWG has distributed over $800,000 in scholarships to more than 400 BU graduate students. The keynote speaker at the awards ceremony, held May 23 at the Metcalf Trustee Ballroom, was Barbara Jones, dean of the School of Social Work.
