Memory and Aging
The primary memory and aging study at our Center is the Health Outreach Program for the Elderly (HOPE) study. HOPE’s purpose is to recruit and follow a large cohort of older adults with and without memory problems to assist researchers in answering questions about normal aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
Through the HOPE study, the Center supports a number of ongoing studies examining the impact of aging on memory and cognition by providing a group of older individuals with and without memory problems that are eligible for recruitment in other research investigations. Ongoing research studies address topics such as, aging and decision making, thyroid function, and exercise and cognition.
