Research Interests

I am interested in studying how cancer cells invade surrounding healthy tissue and migrate through the body by developing computational models to simulate the underlying cellular processes that facilitate these behaviors, allowing a unique perspective from which to study these phenomena and informing experimental work. At the moment, I am studying cell membrane mechanics as they apply to single cell migration. In particular, I am interested in the interplay between mechanical forces and biochemical cell signaling pathways, as well as the mechanical transmission of cell signals on very short timescales.
