Research Interests

My research consists in exploring the biomechanical behavior of soft tissues in health and disease by combining computational methods and experimental techniques. Specifically, I am interested in investigating the relationship between altered mechanical homeostasis, extracellular matrix organization, and cellular function. The overall goal is to provide a better understanding of the initiation and progression of deadly conditions such as cardiovascular disease and cancer.
