Research Interests

My research, in partnership with the US Pharmacopeia Quality Institute, focuses on investigating the role of quality of medicines on bacterial antimicrobial resistance. Specifically, my research aims to characterize and quantify the relationship between substandard antibiotics and antibiotic resistance development and the underlying genetic mechanisms. Understanding the role of substandard drugs in driving antibiotic resistant will be the basis to further support the development of new clinical practices and policy.
