Ava Maalouf

Ava is a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. Her research focuses on how forced displacement impacts the vaginal microbiome. She is also developing a rapid point-of-care diagnostic for bacterial vaginosis for use in low-resource settings. Outside of the lab, Ava enjoys knitting, yoga, running, board games, and singing in the Tanglewood Festival Chorus.
