Patrick Kinney is the Beverly A. Brown Professor for the Improvement of Urban Health in the Department of Environmental Health at the Boston University School of Public Health and he is the co-director of the Urban Climate Initiative.  He was trained as an air pollution epidemiologist at Harvard School of Public Health, and came to BU after two decades at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. At Boston University, Dr. Kinney’s research focuses the intersection of climate change, health, and policy, and specializes on assessing the health benefits of urban climate action plans, via strategies to promote active transport, green infrastructure, and clean vehicles.
