Celebrating WBUR’s First 75 Years
The WBUR Festival, a celebration of the radio station’s first 75 years, was held May 29 to 31 at Boston University. It featured speakers, panel discussions, and a live podcast of NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! At the panel discussion “Higher Ed Today,” moderated by Evan Smith, an Emerson Collective senior advisor (left), BU President Melissa Gilliam (right) spoke with Danielle Holley, Mount Holyoke College president (center). Among the festival’s other speakers: cookbook author and television host Ina Garten, Jefffrey Goldberg, editor of The Atlantic, and Ira Glass, host of the weekly radio show This American Life.
