Sustainability Zero Waste Festival
Kusum Aryal (CAS’26), checking out a collection of T-shirts slated to become tote bags, was among visitors at BU Sustainability’s Zero Waste Festival, hosted February 7 at the Center for Computing & Data Sciences. The festival gave CDS faculty, staff, and students a chance to learn more about efforts to make the center a certified Zero Waste building. Visitors could learn about data collected from the center’s waste bins, how to properly sort common waste items, and how to host catered events. If certified, CDS would become only the second certified Zero Waste building in higher ed. Photo by Jacob Chang-Rascle (COM’22)
