Howard Thurman Center’s New Lending Library
Amit Yadav (MET’26) checks out the Howard Thurman Center’s new lending library, a collaboration with BU Libraries, intended to support student well-being, create community, and honor the commitment to reading of Howard Thurman (Hon.’67), dean of Marsh Chapel from 1953 to 1965, the first black dean at a mostly white American university. The collection of fiction and nonfiction includes many of Thurman’s works as well as contemporary works from Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous authors. Photo by Ajani Hickling (CAS’27)
