World Ocean Day installation

Stephanie Hung (CAS’25) on April 27 puts the finishing touches on a public art installation outside George Sherman Union that was designed to draw attention to rising sea levels ahead of World Ocean Day on June 8. BU community members were invited to construct fish flags on which they wrote personal sustainable goals, and approximately 200 flags were included in the installation. The event also included conversations about climate issues, climate anxiety, and ways to address rising sea levels. The installation was cosponsored by BU Student Government, BU Sustainability, the BU Arts Initiative, Epsilon Eta, and the Environmental Student Organization. Photo by Talia Lissauer (COM’25)
