Transgender Day of Remembrance
On November 20, Transgender Day of Remembrance, BU community members placed flags on the BU Beach in commemoration of those who have died during the past year from anti-transgender violence. Ashlei Boisvert (COM’25) was among many participating in BU’s commemoration of Transgender Day of Remembrance, which began in 1999 to draw attention to the continued violence directed at transgender people. The flags will be up through Wednesday morning. Photo by Jackie Ricciardi
