Jordana Kasaato (ENG’23) (left) and Kendall Lowe (CAS’22) try their hand at a fishing game at the BU Brazilian Association’s first Junina Party, held on the COM lawn April 30. The annual Festas Juninas (June Festivals) run throughout June in Brazil. Also known as Festas de São João to celebrate the birth of St. John the Baptist (June 24), the annual Brazilian celebrations are adapted from European midsummer celebrations. Besides the several games, Brazilian food and drink were also available. Photo by Cydney Scott
