Modern Retelling of Faust

Fascinated by the Faust story? You won’t want to miss If I Were You, an operatic retelling of the classic German legend about an erudite man who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge and power, being performed by the BU Opera Institute and CFA School of Theatre February 24 to 27 at the Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre. The piece, with music by Jake Heggie, is directed by CFA’s Jim Petosa and conducted by William Lumpkin, CFA director of Opera Programs.
