Goodbye to Dean of Students Kenn Elmore
On June 22 BU celebrated longtime Terrier Kenneth Elmore (Wheelock’87) dean of students and associate provost, at a going away party at the Hotel Commonwealth. Elmore (left), who had been at BU for 37 years (after earning a law degree at New England Law, he left to practice law for a few years), will become president of Dean College, a small private school with 1,200 undergraduate students in Franklin, Mass., on July 1. Sharing reminiscences about the University’s most visible campus leader for nearly 20 years (his tenure as dean of students) were Katherine Kennedy, Howard Thurman Center director, Jean Morrison, BU provost, Steve Burgay, senior VP, external affairs, and Drew Marrochello, athletics director.
