Candlelight Vigil for Mahsa Amini

The BU Iranian Students Association held a candlelight vigil on Marsh Plaza September 29 for 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, the Iranian woman who died in police custody September 16 after being arrested for wearing her hijab too loosely. Amini’s death has sparked international furor and led to protests and unrest in dozens of cities in Iran and demonstrations and rallies around the globe in support of rights for women.
