Butterfly Staircase

You’ve heard of butterfly kisses? Well, BU will soon boast a butterfly staircase on the Charles River Campus. How so? Work on the under-construction BU Center for Computing & Data Sciences building grand staircase, which will run from the basement, or lower level, to the fifth, and top, floor of the building’s base, or podium, should be done by the end of May. That base top floor will house an event space and a grab-and-go dining concept. The staircase is called “butterfly” because of the way it circles up the building. Photo by Jackie Ricciardi
