Boston Mayoral Student Forum

Today is a big day in Boston—a mayoral election with voters choosing between two candidates unlike any previous ones in two respects: both are women and both are persons of color. On October 29, BU Student Government, in conjunction with Boston Intercollegiate Government, held a Boston Mayoral Student Forum at the University’s Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground. Each candidate, Annissa Essaibi George (CAS’96) and Michelle Wu, both city councilors, spoke with, and answered questions from, moderators Hessann Farooqi (CAS’22), Student Government vice president, and Gabriela Ramirez (CAS’23), deputy director of city affairs.
