Transgender Day of Remembrance Flag
Founded in 1999 to commemorate the 1998 murder of transgender woman Rita Hester, Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually on November 20. Its aim is to draw attention to the continued violence against transgender people. It was marked at BU with the Transgender Day of Remembrance flag over the Dahod Family Alumni Center.
