Sheila Pree Bright Photo Installation

BU’s Mugar Memorial Library hosts Re-Birth, a photo installation by international photographer Sheila Pree Bright timed to coincide with the 2020 presidential election and addressing themes of equity, access, and in particular, concepts related to the democratic process, voting rights, institutional change, racism, and equitable representation. Pree Bright spoke about how her experience within the BU Library archives and in conversations with the BU community shaped the work at an October 23 Artist Talk. Brought to campus by the BU Arts Initiative and BU Libraries, Re-Birth, here being installed by Ty Furman, Arts Initiative managing director, and Dot Welsh, visual arts specialist, is on view through December 2020.
