Pumpkin Drop
As usual, they came from far and wide October 26 to witness this BU-centric extravaganza: the physics department’s 14th Annual Pumpkin Drop. The fun-filled event offers a guess-the-weight-of-the-plump-or-puny-pumpkins contest, snacks and treats, and a costume contest. But science is the point—the various-size vegetables are filled with different substances affecting their rate and trajectory as they’re hurtled from the Metcalf Science Center roof.
