City Observance of MLK
BU hosted two MLK Day observances January 15. The Honorable Leslie Harris (GRS’74), former Suffolk Juvenile Court associate justice, delivered the keynote address at the city of Boston’s celebration at 10:30 am. On the dais with Harris: the Museum of African American History’s L’Merchie Frazier (from left), Kenneth Elmore (SED’87), BU associate provost and dean of students, and Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh. At 2 pm it was the University’s turn to honor one of its own, Martin Luther King, Jr. (GRS’55, Hon.’59). Photo by Kelly Davidson
