Garrett Fugate is a fourth-year doctoral student in the texts and traditions track under the guidance of professor Kecia Ali. He received an MA in architecture from the University of Kansas pursuing research in sacred space. Currently, his primary interests are in Islamic law, gender, sexuality, queer theory, architecture, and Muslim American piety. (GDRS)
