Dane is a PhD student specializing in Religions of the Ancient Mediterranean. He is particularly interested in questions surrounding syncretism and religious assimilation in the ancient Mediterranean, especially on the level of personal ritual and material evidence. Dane graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Classics and a minor in Religious Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in 2021.
