
Talia Weisberg is a PhD student in the Graduate Program in Religion specializing in Jewish Studies. Her research interests include gender, performance, rabbinic literature, the development of halakha (Jewish law), and Orthodox Judaism. As a Va’Tichtov fellow, she is working on a book for lay audiences about animals in the Torah. In 2024 she received rabbinic ordination from Yeshivat Maharat, the first Orthodox Jewish institution to ordain women as clergy, and in 2017 she earned an AB in the Comparative Study of Religion from Harvard University.
