PMPhD Theology student invited to attend Summer Workshop for young researchers in Jewish Culture and Identity

Yair Lior is a PMPhD DRTS student concentrating in Theology. Yair’s dissertation research is focused on “Methodology in Comparative Religion: A Morphological Analysis of Neo-Confuscianism and Kabbalah.” Mr. Lior has been invited by the Van Leer Institute at Hebrew University in Jerusalem to present “The Early Kabbalah in a Comparative Perspective” at the  Continuity, Development and Change Summer Kabbalah Workshop for young researchers in Jewish Culture and Identity from Monday-Wednesday, July 9-11, 2012

The summer workshop will provide an opportunity to investigate the possible influence of the developments and the transmutations in research on Kabbalah and mysticism on the work of young researchers. The workshop will be devoted to an encounter and dialogue between young researchers and senior scholars.  At this high profile workshop, Mr. Lior will be among fifteen young Kabbalah Doctoral students, working in close contact with the leading scholars in Kabbalah – Presenting research, receiving feedback, and getting to know emerging interests and trends in the field.
