Matt Schmidt

Matthew Schmidt is a Christian Scientist in his first year the MDiv program at Boston University. He was educated and employed in the mechanical engineering field designing and testing power sports products. Later, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching math and science in community high schools in Malawi Africa. Prior to attending Boston University, Matt did child social work, healing ministry, and managed a church bookstore. His desire to serve as Military Chaplain in the US Army has brought him to BUSTh and the RCT program.
“The RCT program is equipping me with the tools that I need to provide assistance to those in need in the military while encouraging growth in awareness of areas such as conflict resolution, forgiveness, and tolerance. The dynamic nature of the program, the uniqueness of the individuals enrolled, the fellowship in the program, and the dedication of the instructors makes for a fertile soil for growth.”
