Boston University’s Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences is a globally recognized leader in educating undergraduate and graduate students across a wide range of research areas. Both the Master of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in Psychology have a strong foundation in scientific inquiry and quantitative methods.

The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) has classified the CIP code assigned to these academic programs as STEM.  F-1 International students who complete this program may be able to apply to USCIS for extended employment authorization provided their employer and the job meet all STEM OPT eligibility requirements.
