Recent Armed Robberies

On Tuesday evening, about 11 pm, a student was walking on Buswell St when a tan or beige 4 door sedan, possibly a ’94 or ’95 Toyota Corolla, pulled up next to him and shouted at him.  The passenger in the rear came out of the vehicle and threw the student into the back seat.  The suspect placed a knife at the victim’s chest and demanded that the victim empty his pockets.  The student’s backpack, his wallet and his cell  phone were taken and he was released at St. Mary’s and Beacon St.  The victim was not injured.

The suspects were described as a white male. 5’11” to 6′, heavy set & wearing a dark colored sweat shirt, and a dark hat. The second suspect was a white male, short and with a crew cut.  Another white male drove the car.

On Saturday, February 9th, about 2 am, a student was grabbed and pulled into the parking lot at 785 Commonwealth Av. by 2 black males who went through his pockets.  The victim was able to break free and flee.  As he did he felt something puncture his jacket and found a tear in the jacket later on.  The suspects were described as a black male, 5’8″, 250 lbs, wearing a black hoody pulled over his head; and a black male 6’4″, 180 lbs, wearing a black hoody pulled over his head.  The victim was not injured.

In both instances, the victims were walking alone late at night.  The BUPD urges you not to walk alone at these times of night.
