Boston University Police Alert: Missing Mail

Please see information below regarding reports of missing U.S. mail reported by members of the BU community.
Location of Incidents:
BU community members have reported missing mail primarily affecting residential locations across campus.
Summary of Facts:
BUPD is actively assisting the United States Postal Inspection Service who are leading the investigation.
Resources:
Anyone who has experienced missing U.S. mail items should report it to the United States Postal Service via their website. You may also file a report with the Boston University Police by calling 617-353-2121.
Tips for sending mail items for the BU Community:
- Track your mail. There are alternatives in sending valuable items that require a signature on delivery.
- When sending cash. Peer to peer payment applications are a popular method of transferring cash. Sending gift cards is discouraged.
- Insure using registered mail. Registered mail is a safe way to send and insure your valuable item.
