Federal Grant scam
BUPD has received 2 reports of a possible scam in which the caller tells the victim they have won a Federal Grant. The suspect then asks for the victim’s bank or credit card account information to transfer the funds. BUPD recommends not giving any personal information when receiving unsolicited phone calls or emails.
