Traffic Advisory

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will be intermittently closing part of Brookline Avenue as utilities are temporarily relocated in anticipation of the Muddy River Project which will start later this year.
Outbound: Brookline Avenue will be closed to outbound traffic (except emergency vehicles) between Fenway and Park Drive. Police will direct outbound traffic (from Boston) around the circle.
Inbound: During this period Brookline Avenue may also be closed to outbound traffic (except emergency vehicles) between Fenway and Park Drive. Police will direct inbound traffic (to Boston) via the jug handle.
Pedestrian detour: For the duration of the utility relocation project, a fenced work zone will be installed in the Sears Rotary. The sidewalk on the west side of Brookline Avenue between Fenway and Park Drive will periodically be closed as needed for safety. Pedestrians will be detoured to the east sidewalk.

Brookline Avenue will re-open to two-way traffic each day.
