Halloween Message from the Boston Police
A Message to Boston Area College Students
from
Superintendent William B. Evans
Boston Police Department
Your safety and security, and that of the residents of this city, is always of the utmost importance to the Boston Police Department. I write this message requesting that you exhibit exemplary behavior and conduct with the upcoming Halloween weekend and that you also pay attention to your own personal safety as you move about the city.
Please remember to:
· Avoid walking on poorly lit streets and in areas not well traveled.
· Walk with someone if possible.
· Do not walk and talk on your cell phones.
· Be alert to your surroundings.
· Moderate alcohol consumption if, and only if, you are of legal age.
We will have extra patrols in all neighborhoods with special attention being paid to those neighborhoods where there are large concentrations of students and areas where there have been a history of large gatherings and parties. Please remember that you live in a city that is densely populated, and where there will be large numbers of families and children out and about, so please respect your neighbors and the neighborhoods in which you live.
On behalf of the Boston Police Department please stay safe and celebrate responsibly.
