Attempted Robbery

On January 14, 2009 at 8:45 PM, a female party reports that she was the victim of an attempted unarmed robbery. The victim stated that while she  walking in front of 189 Bay State Rd, the male suspect came from behind her and put both arms around her and held her as he attempted to take her phone from her pocket. The victim put her arms down in order to  protect her pockets and began to scream. The suspect then fled down Bay State Rd.  A search of the area was made by officers with negative results. The first suspect was described as black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The second suspect was described as black male wearing a red winter jacket. The victim reported that no items were taken and that she was not injured.
