UNARMED ROBBERY ON BABCOCK ST
On Friday 9/5/2008, the Boston University Police took a report for an unarmed robbery near 1019 Commonwealth Av. The victim who stated that at 10:23 PM he was talking on his cell phone in the area of the Babcock St entrance to 1019 Commonwealth Av. He was approached by two white males who asked if he had any money. The victim ignored the suspect and continued to talk on his cell phone at which time the first suspect came up behind him and punched him in the face and a struggle ensued with both suspects. The victim stated that during the struggle both suspect grabbed at his pockets in what he believed was an attempt to remove any property he may have. The suspect then fled on foot had once they determined he did not have any property on him in the direction of Packard Square. The victim described the first suspect as a white male, early 20’s, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans with a short buzz cut hair style, 5″10″, 170lbs. The second suspect, was also a white male in his early 20’s, wearing a black shirt, 5″10, 185lbs. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the BU Police at 617-353-2121.
