Female Student Robbed at Beacon St

On Saturday 6/2/2007 at 7:37 AM, a BU student reported that she was robbed by a male party who followed her on Beacon St., inbound. The robbery took place at Beacon St. and Munson St., by the entrance to the parking lot. The suspect got out of the car at Munson St. and walked up behind her. The victim said that she heard the suspect ask her “do you have any money?” The victim said she ignored the suspect and began to walk more swiftly. The suspect then said to the victim “you do know that this is a stick up?” The suspect then proceeded to forcibly remove the victim’s purse from her shoulder, spilling some of its contents to the ground. The suspect fled outbound on Beacon St into Brookline.

She describes the suspect as a black male 5’8″ in height, 165 pounds, and wearing a dark colored baggy t-shirt and blue jeans. The suspect also wore a dark colored “Kansas City Royals” baseball cap. The victim did not observe a weapon during the robbery. The vehicle may be a dark blue 4 door and she could not provide a plate number attached to the suspect’s motor vehicle. She did mention that the vehicle had a white registration plate with dark numerals or letters (possibly out of state registration).

This is the second robbery to occur in this area in the last 12 days. Boston Police reported an incident on 5/22/2007 at Beacon St. & Maitland St.
