Haneen Ahmed

Haneen Ahmed is a sophomore at Georgia State University, where she is studying Mechanical Engineering. Haneen found her passion for mechanical engineering in college, after exploring environmental studies in high school. This summer, Haneen was excited to be admitted as a transfer student at Georgia Tech, where she will begin in the fall.

Over the summer, Haneen worked on “Studying Thermal Properties of Direct Air Capture Adsorbents with Hot Disk Instruments” in the Lubner Group under PI Sean Lubner. The project aimed to improve carbon capture technology using thermal conductivity and hot disk instruments.
